Melanie is a high school student who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. They began her journey of advocacy in middle school. During Melanie’s years in middle school she was part of the Student Council and the representative of her middle school for the District 15 Youth Equity Congress. In high school, Melanie has joined clubs like Model UN and Latino Union.

Melanie joined Integrate NYC in 2020 when the pandemic was at an all time high. She was looking for a way to bridge youth power and activism together. Melanie worked as an lead before becoming a director and is now Youth Executive Director. Melanie's passion lies with empowering fellow youth to dream about an anti-racist world.

When Melanie isn’t working or studying you can find her listening to music from Louis Tomlinson and more. She enjoys binge watching shows like Derry Girls or watching movies like the Notebook!
