Elena

Elena (they/them) is a highschool student and Director at IntegrateNYC. Throughout elementary and middle school, they volunteered to better their community, writing postcards to unregistered voters, making food for the nearby soup kitchens, and signing and distributing petitions. They began working with IntegrateNYC in fall of 2020. They were a part of the District 15 Middle School committee for all throughout 7th and 8th grade, helping plan community gatherings that would spread important information, provide a safe space for other people their age, and encourage creative ideas on how to improve diversity in our schools. They’re so excited to continue working with IntegrateNYC and hope to help many people to come.

In their spare time, you can find Elena devouring cozy sci-fi novels, watching psychological thrillers, reading tarot, sketching fanart for a podcast, or playing with their cats.
